In the spring of 2020, the CrisisLab 2020 impact program of five universities took place online, gathering more than 280 participants, including our guest Kristers Nagainis. Together with other students, he sought answers to problem situations submitted by institutions and companies in various fields. When they founded the team together with Inguna Kaniņš, they received an award from the University of Latvia for a solution with the greatest impact on overcoming the crisis - a prototype of a patient transfer chamber was developed.

Agnese Slišāne participated in the "Demo Day" organized by the Business Incubator of the University of Latvia with her business idea, where she received € 2,500 and a "green light" to implement her idea. Agnese has created an online store that sells products designed for seniors and people with disabilities. They are not only unique and made with love, but they have also been awarded the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's recognition mark "Latvijas labums".

Two girls, Jekaterina and Natalija, have developed a posture correcting t-shirt. With the help of a special support correction scheme, the t-shirt trains the memory of the back muscles. This clothing is designed in consultation with orthopedists and physiotherapists.

One of the success stories of LUMIC Innovation Grant students or a conversation with Kristīne Irtiševa, who leads HUMICO.
